David Lay
David Lay was, for rather too long, a designer and scenic artist in theatre running the gamut from seaside rep to the Royal National Theatre and back again. He has always painted but did not start showing his own work until 15 years ago. He has exhibited widely both in London and Kent. Currently he lives and works in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter. He is a director and co-founder with Maryanne Traylen of Pavement Pounders Community Interest Company, devising and managing arts and heritage projects.
