Plectrums Pens and Paints in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter has been up and running for 5 years now.

Offering for sale musical instruments that range from guitars to brass, pianos to ethnic, the store also provide music tuition for a range of instruments in their purpose built studios.

Mike, who runs the store, has worked in the music industry his whole life.

“Our teachers are CRB checked and fully qualified, and teach all ages across the board in various styles,” Mike says.

With an emphasis on value for money, and an honest attitude, the store is the perfect place for simple advice on starting out to support for gigging musicians.

“We don’t distinguish between young or old, pros or amateurs,” says Mike. “For us, it’s about making sure that everyone has a place to get started & keep going.”
