Folkestone Harbour Yarn
Established in 2015, Folkestone Harbour Yarn is an Independent yarn dyer producing a range of hand dyed art yarns and naturally dyed yarns for knitting, crochet and more. F.H.Y. has been featured in publications including Knitting Magazine, Inside Crochet, The Knitter and Simply Crochet and regularly appears at Yarn Festivals up and down the country. The brand is stccked in independent knitting stores such as The Wool Shop, Folkestone. We hand dye all of our yarns using acid and natural dyes on a range of yarn bases such as local kent romney wool and sustainably sourced organic merino. The product range also includes own design notions and accessories, plus knitting & crochet patterns. A range of lessons and workshops are taught from our Old High Street Studio including 1 on 1 knitting & crochet lessons, visible mending techniques and how to naturally dye your own wool or cotton.
The Studio is open to visitors every Thursday from 10.30 to 16.30 (other times by appointment).
