We've had a great Christmas in the Creative Quarter and are now very excited about the year ahead, particularly as the second Folkestone Triennial is happening this summer (www.folkestonetriennial.org.uk)! But before we start on all these fantastic projects coming up, we have something far more important to announce...
Yesterday we announced the winner of the Recycled Christmas Tree Competition!
We received some brilliantly innovative entries, including a true work of art with flowers made out of beer cans and a tree made completely out of newspapers. Entries were received from individuals as well as from the Faversham Umbrella Centre and ARCCC, the Creative Quarter's newest addition (due to open later this year).
However, there can only be one winner and the public vote declared that the winner was... Deborah Crofts! Her tree used old picture frames and looked fantastic - Well Done Debbie!
Huge thanks also goes to Creative Quarter Artist, Sally Higgs, for organising the competition, well done Sally!
