50 pupils from 5 local Shepway schools returned to the Quarterhouse on Monday 14th July as part of Kent's Olympic art project called Inspire. The secondary pupils taught younger pupils to make origami flowers - which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Parents and grandparents came to watch their children who have been identified as and become Young Leaders in their respective schools.
Children's comments ranged from: I enjoyed seeing what the other schools could do, to learning about all the art that is coming to Folkestone. Teachers said it was a good chance to develop speaking and teaching skills and that all their art ambassadors have flourished in confidence and other leadership qualities as a result of taking part in this project.
