Folkestone Triennial is now OPEN! Along with Folkestone Fringe. Our tenants have been very busy getting involved, here are a few highlights:
Brewery Tap are celebrating the Triennial with a full programme of exhibitions throughout. Thursday 28th August - Thursday 4th September Steph Goodger and Julian Rowe I'd like to see the Governor at The Brewery tap, Tontine Street then Saturday 6th - Tuesday 9th September Sense of Place with staff and students from ESADaR Le Havre and UCA Canterbury. Saturday 13th - Tuesday 16th September Xanthus Andrews and Ben Hunt Situation: A place of activity
Friday 29th August - Wednesday 17th September Wayne Reeves and Maggie Large are exhibiting work at 8 The Old High Street.
Monday 1st September – Sunday 2nd November B&B Project Space, 14 Tontine Street, Club Shepway presents its 3rd series of Vernacular Events Vernacular Habitation. Framed within the Local of Folkestone Vernacular Habitation aims to create a snapshot of material trends though a series of micro residencies and instalations in attempt to highlight a regional aesthetic. The vernacular events program offers a collaborative platform where artists will be commissioned create new works that deconstruct aspects of material process attributed the production decorative artifacts.
