To coincide with the Folkestone Book Festival, BREW presents texts works by British artist Terry Smith. Smith's eclectic practice covers installation, drawing, film, video, sounds works and performance. The title WORDPLAY comes from a project Terry Smith curated at the ICA in London in 2009. This new exhibition at Brew brings together works created between 1974 to 2016, some published and some not.
Smith has realised secret and public projects, architectural interventions and performances in museums and off-site locations since 1995, including Tate Modern, British Museum, Drawing Centre/ New Museum NY, Museo Bellas Artes Caracas, MACBA Barcelona and Ca'Pesaro Venice- International Gallery of Modern Art.
