TEDxFolkestone is looking for Kent people who want to share their inspirational stories and insight!
This year's TEDxFolkestone event will take place on Saturday 23 June at Folkestone Quarterhouse.
TEDxFolkestone has set itself the challenge of hosting an event that champions inspiration, innovation, collaboration and leadership across the community and Kent businesses. Liú Batchelor, the Folkestone-based coach and project leader, and a committee of like-minded professionals are organising TEDxFolkestone and sharing the global TEDx mission of self-organised events that highlight ideas worth spreading.
TEDxFolkestone is a platform for ‘unheard voices’ in addition to more accomplished speakers. A series of speaker development workshops will be held leading up to the event with the first one being a ‘Speaker Q&A’ event on Wednesday 10 January at The Workshop on Tontine Street. Anyone wishing to present a TEDx Talk in 2018 will have the opportunity to meet last year’s speakers, who will answer queries and offer inspiration and advice.
If you are interested in applying to speak at TEDxFolkestone please contact Hello@TEDxFolkestone.com or register for the Speaker Q&A. The deadline for speaker proposals is Wednesday 31 January and final speaker selection will take place on 16 March.
