Folkestone Book Festival returns this autumn from Friday 15 - Sunday 24 November and we are delighted to introduce our new curators, who will be embracing our regular themes and adding some exciting new elements!
We are thrilled to welcome DoranBrowne to Folkestone Book Festival, an arts consultancy and partnership formed by Seán Doran and Liam Browne.
As a partnership they have co-curated multi-arts festivals Happy Days Enniskillen International Beckett Festival, Comment C’est: Paris Beckett and Frielfest in Derry and Donegal; as well as Sgt. Pepper at 50 Heading for Home and the first year of the new Seamus Heaney HomePlace, 12 months 12 books.
As individuals Liam and Seán have a substantial back-catalogue of curating and producing a huge array of literary festivals and large-scale events. Liam Browne's previous roles include Literature Officer at the Southbank Centre, Literature Director of the Brighton Festival and Programme Director of the International Literature Festival Dublin.
Seán's positions include Artistic Director and Chief Executive Officer of the English National Opera; Artistic Director of the Belfast Festival at Queen’s; and Artistic Director and CEO of Australia’s largest festival, the Perth International Arts Festival.
