It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tim Llewellyn, a cherished former board member of Creative Folkestone. Tim played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation, serving as a board member from 2002 to 2020. His dedication, expertise, and passion were instrumental in helping Creative Folkestone grow into the vibrant cultural organisation it is today.
Tim brought to Creative Folkestone a wealth of knowledge from his remarkable career in the arts, including his time as Director of the Henry Moore Foundation and his deep commitment to fostering creativity. Beyond his professional achievements, Tim was admired for his kindness, warmth, and unyielding support for our vision.
Alastair Upton, Chief Executive of Creative Folkestone, said:
"Tim Llewellyn was an extraordinary individual, both personally and professionally. His wisdom, generosity, and unwavering commitment to art and artists were a source of inspiration for everyone who worked with him. His contributions to Creative Folkestone over nearly two decades were profound, and his legacy will continue to resonate through our work."
Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew him at Creative Folkestone and across the wider arts community. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
