Eleanor Mills & Fiona Lambert: Age is Just a Number
Book this event online or email the box office at boxoffice@creativefolkestone.org.uk
Join us for an inspiring evening with two leading voices in the conversation about thriving in midlife and beyond: Fiona Lambert, author of Invincible Not Invisible, and Eleanor Mills, founder of Noon, a platform dedicated to women over the age of 50 and author of Much More to Come.
This empowering discussion will celebrate the joy and opportunities that come with age, challenging traditional notions of what it means to grow older.
Eleanor Mills, former Editorial Director of The Sunday Times, will share her insights on the “mayhem and magnificence” of midlife, drawing from her experience at Noon, which empowers women to embrace their later years with confidence and vitality. Eleanor's work aims to redefine the narrative around aging, inspiring women to live their best lives and thrive.
Joining her is Fiona Lambert, whose transformative book Invincible Not Invisible encourages women to break free from the limitations of age. Fiona’s inspiring message challenges the belief that age should be a barrier to setting and achieving new goals, urging women to look their best, feel their strongest, and embrace joy at any stage of life.
Chaired by Leah Thorn, founder of Older Women Rock! which creates pop-up art spaces to challenge societal invisibility, placing older women centre stage on their own terms. Leah’s work unites women across differences of class, race and sexual identity, strengthening resilience and networks as we age while confronting society's assumptions and prejudices.
Together, Eleanor, Fiona and Leah will explore how to set and achieve new goals in midlife, share practical tips for maintaining happiness, and discuss strategies for staying physically and mentally fit as we age. What does success looks like for older women? It's never too late to pursue passions and dreams.
