Icelandic folk singer Ösp’s haunting and soaring vocals meet Japanese/Egyptian modular synthesist and coder Cherif’s organic electronics and Anil Sebastian’s choral sensibilities creating breathtaking and utterly unique sonic landscapes reminiscent of Sigúr Ros, Olafúr Arnalds, and Jon Hopkins. This is no surprise given that Cherif’s recent credits including Jon Hopkins, Björk and Brian Eno. The music of Hrím is interwoven with the masterful and utterly unique neo-classical arrangements of Anil Sebastian who is also the co-founder and director of London Contemporary Voices choir and who has recently featured alongside Imogen Heap on legendary Björk/Imogen Heap/Robyn producer Guy Sigsworth’s debut album Stet.
