Rhiana Bonterre presents two experimental short films: ‘To Shake and Disturb and Bring Us Back To Ourselves’ and ‘Rhythms of my Silence’.
Drawing influence from her Caribbean heritage, Bonterre’s films portray the motifs of Folkestone's beaches and landscapes alongside the mediums of dance and music. Guided by voices, the activism for Black liberation, and the exploration and interrogation of identity, belonging and generational traumas become increasingly intertwined with aspects of the spirit, and imagination.
