Prerana Issar is the first NHS Chief People Officer. Prior to joining the NHS, Prerana was Director for Public-Private Partnerships at the United Nations and prior to that she was the Chief Human Resources Officer for the World Food Programme (an organisation that was awarded the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize).
In a special festival conversation, Prerana discusses the extraordinary challenges that the NHS has faced over the last year. And she offers her unique global perspective on how we must move forward in a post-pandemic world.
