Dog-lover Rory Cellan-Jones, author, former BBC News technology correspondent, and proud owner of the Twitter-famous rescue dog Sophie from Romania, comes to Folkestone for an uplifting discussion on the profound impact dogs can have on our lives.

In this heart-warming event, Rory will share the impossible challenges and irrepressible joy that Sophie has brought into his life and delve into the stories from his new book.

This event is a celebration of the bond between humans and their canine companions, exploring how dogs can improve our mental health, provide companionship and bring unparalleled happiness. Bring your furry friend along for an afternoon of paws and positivity!

Whether you’re a dog lover, interested in mental health or simply curious about the incredible stories of rescue dogs, this event promises to be both enlightening and heart-warming. Hear Rory Cellan-Jones’ inspiring tales and discover how dogs can make all the difference.

This event will be chaired by Dr Christopher Little, a local vet with more than 40 years’ experience, who is the author of The Dog Care Handbook, a guide for thoughtful dog owners, which will help you understand the best way to look after your much-loved and loyal furry friend.
