SALT + EARTH Festival: Sacconi Quartet & Alison Neighbour - Music on Impermanent Land
“Begin, and cease, and then again begin” Matthew Arnold, Dover Beach
Join the Sacconi Quartet for a new collaboration with artist Alison Neighbour in the beautiful natural setting of the Warren.
Between the sea and the crumbling chalk cliffs, we invite you to stop a while and feel the fragility and possibilities for transformation held within this liminal landscape. Enter our chalk circle and hold a piece of deep time in your hands as the music invites you to imagine what has been and what may come.
Please gather on the concrete platform below The Warren campsite. You might wish to bring a blanket to sit on. The piece lasts ten minutes and will be repeated several times with breaks in between.
Limited parking is available in the small carpark above the campsite. Follow the signs from Wear Bay Road to Folkestone Camping & Caravanning Club campsite and for parking take the left-hand fork before the road reaches the beach. Alternatively, it is a pleasant 30 minute walk from East Cliff along the beach or via the road.
