Sasha Maye: A Mother's Gaze
Sorry, this event has sold out
Let’s go back to the start of the first Female Gaze we likely encountered. Our Mothers. A mother's gaze profoundly shapes our earliest sense of self and worldview. We come into this world packed with information about what we need to become ourselves. We may not get it, and of course we survive, but somewhere deep inside we know what would have been ideal for us.
Psychotherapist and Pesso Boyden Facilitator Sasha Maye brings you an interactive introduction to the Pesso Boyden system and how it considers a Mother's Gaze. Expect a gentle workshop and therapeutic demonstration anchored on this non-pathologising, body-based therapy that benefits from a group of people and the goodwill of fellow participants.
This session will be informative, thought-provoking and experiential. There will be an opportunity for a few participants to enrol their own ‘Ideal Mother’ with the help of the group. This will be held sensitivity following a simple group exercise.
