The Secrets of Cooking: Bee Wilson and Niki Segnit
Sorry, this event has sold out
Looking for adventurous new cooking ideas to spice up your weekday cooking or wow your guests? Join bestselling food writers Bee Wilson and Niki Segnit for a mouthwatering discussion on how to get the most flavour and enjoyment out of home cooking. What flavours go with what? What tasty twists can you put on everyday favourites? Are there any hacks for speeding up cooking – or even slowing it down?
Bee Wilson is a cook, food writer and journalist, whose books include Consider the Fork, First Bite, The Way We Eat Now, and most recently, The Secret of Cooking – her first cookbook.
Niki Segnit is a Times food columnist and the author of Lateral Cooking and The Flavour Thesaurus. Her latest book, The Flavour Thesaurus: More Flavours, explores 92 mostly plant-based flavours.
Please note: This event was originally advertised as featuring food critic Grace Dent. If you booked for the original event your ticket remains valid and we think you will love this talk just as much. If you have any questions please contact the box office.

Curating the festival for the first time, Jen and James have been inspired by Folkestone and how we can all come together through inspired discussion about global ideas, global thinking and possible futures.
